4.0 The STOP Button

Pressing the STOP button immediately stops ALL Internet traffic. Press this button if you think a program might be using the Internet improperly.

The STOP button will stop all Internet access, overriding the Pass Lock settings in the Programs panel. This is useful for stopping Trojan horses and other programs that want to gain access to your private information.


To reactivate Internet access press the stop button again.

Note that using the emergency stop button completely cuts off connections to the Internet. Connections and data transfer by all programs on your computer must be restarted.
