Compact & user-friendly, the half-height DR-UA124X incorporates Pioneer's advanced QUADRASPINTM drive and offers a sustained data transfer rate of 614 KB/s, with a seek time of 110 ms. A tray loading mechanism and high precision door provide superior dust protection. The DR-UA124X also has 128 KB buffer, using a new Advanced Buffering System to enhance both large file transfers and small file transfers, allowing you the user to achieve the optimum performance whatever the application.
This drive uses an ATAPI / E-IDE interface and is MPC-2 compliant.
The SCSI interface equivalent of this drive is the DR-U124X.
