Fader v2.5 is (unlike the previous version) copyrighted freeware.
This page defines which uses of Fader v2.5 are acceptable and which are
not. You don't have to pay for using or distributing Fader v2.5 if you
follow all the rules below.
Terms of use & distribution:
By using or distributing Fader v2.5 you accept the following terms:
- The author of the applet can not be held liable for any damage
which results from using the applet.
- The applet must not be used in combination with any form of racistic
content.
- The applet must not be sold. If you are providing the applet to others,
you are not allowed to charge money for the applet directly or indirectly (by introducing
copy-fees or the like). This also applies to cover-disks or cover-cds on magazines.
Written permission from the author of the applet is
needed for making an exception to that.
- You must not create the impression that the applet is only available from
you or your service or that you or anybody else but me developed the applet.
- You are not allowed to reverse-engineer the applet.
- You are not allowed to modify the class file
- Redistribution is only allowed if all relevant contact information is
provided to the users in an effective and obvious way and for free. The minimum required
information is my email-address (Johannes.Schellen@post.rwth-aachen.de) and
the address of the documentation on the web (http://johannes-schellen.home.ml.org/fader.html).
You are obligated to keep both up-to-date.
- You are not allowed to reproduce the documentation. If you want to redistribute
the applet either link to my pages or write your own documentation.
- The source is explicitly excluded from distribution. The source is not freeware.

Fader used to be postcardware for a long time. I found receiving feedback
in the form of postcards from all over the world very motivating. If you think
that Fader is cool and I deserve to be thanked, you are invited to send me
postcards, audio-cds you no longer listen to, money or just about anything else.

Source licenses:
Fader is distributed in bytecode form, which is a binary code. I offer the source
code as a separate product.
